Education & Career Development

Programs enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, set goals, explore careers, prepare for employment, and embrace technology to achieve success in a career.

Power Hour

Provides homework assistance and tutorial services following school.

Project Learn

An educational program that will increase members’ motivation to learn, improve their grades, and provide them with a variety of educational opportunities.

Goals for Graduation

Introduces academic goal setting through future aspirations.

AIM

The Achievement in Middle School program assists members in goal setting, grade progression, transition into high school, and knowledge of A-G requirements. Members participate in weekly workshops such as college and career exploration, High School requirements, A-G planning, virtual campus tours, etc.

College Bound

Guides teens to meet the academic, financial, and testing requirements for UC, Cal State and private universities by providing weekly case management, workshops, and college field trips.

Club Tech

Offers access to technology, age-appropriate internet safety training, resources, and skills to perform better in school and the workplace.

CareerLaunch

Introduces teens to job-readiness skills such as resumé building and interviewing skills. Youth are also assisted in job placement.

Junior Staff

Develops a qualified, competent and committed workforce needed to fulfill the mission of the Boys & Girls Club Movement by allowing teens to explore a career in youth development or other human services, with a particular focus on Boys & Girls Club work.

Money Matters

Promotes financial responsibility to members by building money management skills, and teaching about bank accounts, budgets, saving, and investing.
